Global Standard for Higher Education and Migration

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is highly regarded and widely recognised as the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration.

There are two patterns of IELTS test – IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. The test can be taken up either as paper based test or computer based test. You need to book your IELTS test date in advance and you must hold a valid passport in order to be able to do so.

Your speaking test is scheduled separately and the remaining modules are conducted together on a separate date. If you have taken IELTS on paper, your results would be available 13 days after your test date and in 3-5 days if you have taken IELTS on a computer. The IELTS score is valid for 2 years.

  • IELTS Academic – is designed for study abroad aspirants. This test evaluates your English language proficiency to assess your English level as a student in an English speaking country. Click here to know more.

IELTS Band scores

CELPIP

CELPIP is Computer-Delivered and is done in just one sitting. It also includes features such as a personal timer, word counter, and spell-check.
The test is Single North American Accent which is easy-to-understand and the vocabulary is taken from everyday situations.

Results are available online in just 4 to 5 calendar days after the test date.
It takes approximately 3 hours to complete CELPIP, and can be done in one sitting with no separate speaking session.

TOEFL

TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language is an English language proficiency exam produced by the US-based Educational Testing Service (ETS). TOEFL is specifically designed to test your English communication ability for academic settings and is more favoured by American institutions, schools and Universities. TOEFL is scored between 0-120, with a score of 0–30 each for reading, listening, writing, and speaking. TOEFL can be appeared as either Paper-Based Test or an Internet-Based Test.

Pearson Test of English

Pearson Test of English (PTE) provides secure English language testing for study applications worldwide, and for visa applications for work and migration in Australia, the UK, New Zealand, and Canada. The purpose of PTE exam is to accurately assess the listening, reading, speaking and writing ability of test takers who want to study at institutions where English is the principal language of instruction. This exam consists of three main parts. Each part contains different sections and each section is individually timed. The test is task-based, representing the range of functions and situations in an English-speaking environment be it work or study.
